Men's Insulated Ski Jacket Review — Hands-On Test & Verdict
Our Verdict
Excellent resort ski jacket with reliable warmth and weather protection. Best for lift-served skiing in cold, snowy conditions.
Full Review
The SnowPeak Insulated Ski Jacket is built like a tank — in the best way possible. During testing at a Colorado resort with temperatures hovering around 10°F, the PrimaLoft insulation kept us toasty through 8-hour ski days. The waterproof-breathable shell handled wet snow without issue. We particularly appreciated the helmet-compatible hood (no more gaper gap) and the removable powder skirt that actually works — after a few face shots in deep powder, our midlayer stayed completely dry. The internal media pocket is fleece-lined to prevent phone battery drain. The only downside is the weight; at 680g this is a resort-focused jacket. Backcountry skiers should look at lighter options. For resort use, it is hard to beat the warmth and protection at this price point.
